will my creature with changeling die if it is targeted because is also an illusion?

Asked by diego24mg 7 years ago

a creature with changeling is every creature type at all times so that makes it an illusion, right? illusions die when they are targeted, right?

so, can I kill a creature with changeling by targeting it with something?

Whilst a fair few Illusions have the ability you are talking about printed on them (see: Illusionary Servant) not all do.

Creature types no longer have inherent abilities, which changed a long time ago.

Simply, no, your Changeling will not be sacrificied when targeted, and it can also attack (the old Wall creature type used to say they could not attack)

This might be overkill, but, it amused me to consider (and put here for posterity):

Changelings are Walls, but don't have Defender.
Changelings are Birds, but don't have Flying.
Changelings are Spellmongers, but don't have any varition of their various activated abilities.
Changelings are Human Wizards, Zombie Mercenaries, Horse Rebel Clerics, Elemental Badger Soldiers, and Elder Demon Angel Dragons, but none of this implies anything more than having those types and what is printed on the card.

So on and so forth.
