Will Armadillo Cloak trigger its life gain ability if it enchants a creature with lifelink?

Armadillo Cloak never received an update to its oracle text, so it still reads as "Whenever enchanted creature deals damage, you gain that much life." Does this mean it does not grant lifelink, and will it cause an addition life gain trigger if a creature that already has that ability is also enchanted with the cloak?
One important thing to note about this is if you had 1 life and blocked a 4/4 creature with trample with a 3/3 creature of yours that had lifelink you would not die because the lifelink and damage happen at the same time.
A 1/1 with the Armadillo Cloak however would not save you because its life gain has to go on the stack. Damage would be done and the game would end before you would gain the life.

That's correct. Armadillo Cloak's last ability is a triggered ability. If a creature has lifelink and you enchant it with Cloak, you'll gain life from lifelink's ability and from cloak's triggered ability (it goes to the stack, then if it resolves, you gain life).
