Who do myriad tokens attack?

Asked by MTGJustice 8 years ago

If I'm playing a game of EDH with 5 players including myself and I attack a player with one creature that has myriad, would the tokens created be attacking the player I originally attacked or would they be attacking each opponent?

Myriad makes it so that for each other opponent, you may have a copy of the creature come into play tapped and attacking them as well.

702.115a Myriad is a triggered ability that may also create a delayed triggered ability. Myriad means Whenever this creature attacks, for each opponent other than defending player, you may put a token thats a copy of this creature onto the battlefield tapped and attacking that player or a planeswalker he or she controls. If you put one or more tokens onto the battlefield this way, exile the tokens at end of combat.

702.115b If a creature has multiple instances of myriad, each triggers separately.

Blade of Selves for an example of myriad.

Note that myriad's reminder text states that each token attacks a different opponent or a planeswalker that player controls.
