When using Kaalia of the Vast

Asked by Riv329 6 years ago

If Kaalia of the Vast is out can and she attacks can I play Ugin, the Spirit Dragon with her ability or is Ugin just considered a planeswalker card.

While he is a dragon in the picture, Ugin is not a creature, and therefore does not have the creature type "Dragon". He's only a planeswalker with the subtype "Ugin".

He's not a valid choice for Kaalia's ability.

Kaalia of the Vast's ability also specifies that you put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield. Even if you somehow acquired a tribal permanent with one of the correct creature types (though none have been printed and new ones are unlikely) you would not be able to put one of them into play.
