What would you have to minus on Ugin to exile a Hangarback Wlker

If the opponent cast Hangarback Walker for 8 mana, making x=4, would ugin have to minus 0? 4? or 8? to exile it

You would have -0. The CMC of a card with X in it mana cost counts X as 0 unless it is on the stack then it counts X as whatever X actually is. So when Hangarback Walker is on the battlefield its CMC is 0 and activating Ugin's 2nd ability for -0 would exile it.

lordoftheshadows: You can't exile the walker with Ugin. Ugin exiles permanents that are 1 or more colors. The walker is colorless.

pskinn01 That's a good point. Ugin can't exile Walker however the point about CMC of permanents with X in their mana cost still holds.

It's been said already that the Hangarback is colorless, so just as additional info: with cards like Cerulean Wisps or Incite you can hit whatever you want. I don't think there are any options in standard to do that right now.
