What is the proper interaction of Golgari Thug's dredge with Skullclamp?

My friend had a Golgari Thug and a Skullclamp on the battlefield. Is he able to utilize dredge as one of his draws off of Skullclamp?

Yes. As both (Golgari Thug death and Skullclamp draw) are triggered by the same event (I am assuming you equipped Golgari Thug), you can put the triggers on the stack in any order. If you put the draw trigger on the stack second, it will resolve before the Golgari Thug trigger flips it onto your library (I assume it is the target of its own effect for this situation). Since Golgari Thug is still in the graveyard while you would draw, you are allowed to use the dredge ability. This will cause Golgari Thug's effect to be countered because it lost its target.
