What if The Scorpion God dies with a -1/-1 counter

If I control The Scorpion God, and he has a -1/-1 counter on him, and he dies. Do I get to draw a card?

The reason this works is because "dies" triggers use information from the last moment something was on the battlefield to determine if and how they trigger (otherwise even "when this dies" triggers like on Ruin Rat etc. wouldn't be able to work properly). At the last moment The Scorpion God was on the battlefield before it died, it had a -1/-1 counter and its triggered ability existed, so that means the ability will trigger.
