what are god cards's effects if they are not creatures

so, you know how god cards can be part creature, or not part creature (if your devotion to whateverwhatever is less than 5 or 7), right? Well, the effects of these cards say "whenever another creature does bloblobloblo", so my question is, if I have a god card that is not a creature, does the "whenever another creature does bloblobloblo" effect still happen, or not?

Yes, all that happens when the God is not a creature is that it is not a creature. Everything else functions as normal.

Yeah, it's poorly worded but even if they're not a creature 'whenever another creature' effects still take place. The designers just felt that 'when a creature that is not X' was too wordy.
