Unsure who "Opponent" refers to in redirected spells, and of ownership of the spells.

I think I understand this, just wanted to double-check. A few questions in one here.

Scenario: I'm playing a three-player game. Opponent 1 casts Acquire, targeting me. I cast Swerve in response, targeting my opponent's Acquire spell.

I elect to chose new targets, so which targets would be legitimate choices for my redirection of Acquire at this point? Would it by Myself or Opponent 2 (both being legitimate targets of Opponent 1's initial casting of Acquire); or Opponent 1 or Opponent 2 (both being legitimate targets as though I myself were casting Acquire).

I'd imagine the former, because the "you" or "opponent" in the text of the card is always from the POV of the controller of the spell, and I haven't actually gained ownership of the spell? Also because I haven't gained ownership of the spell, all I'm really doing is deciding whose library Opponent 1 will search through for an Artefact, not actually deny them of anything.

And if I had elected to cast Commandeer on Acquire (instead of of casting Swerve of Acquire), then I could chose either of my opponents' libraries for searching through in order to acquire an artefact for myself?

And Wild Ricochet would be a slightly confusing, but fun blend of both worlds.

You are correct on accounts.

Swerve does not change control of the spell, so the opponents are the same.

Commandeer or Perplexing Chimera or the second part of Wild Ricochet changes control of the spell and thus, the possible targets.
