Triad of Fates and Oblivion Stone?

So I was exploring comments when I stumbled upon Oblivion Stone. Noticing it used "fate counters" I was immediatly reminded of Triad of Fates. My question is relatively simple: can fate counters placed by the Triad or Stone be effected by the other? Or in other words, do they use the same "fate counter?"

They are the same

121.1. A counter is a marker placed on an object or player that modifies its characteristics and/or interacts with a rule, ability, or effect. Counters are not objects and have no characteristics. Notably, a counter is not a token, and a token is not a counter. Counters with the same name or description are interchangeable.

merrowMania is correct. Note that the practical application here is that things you put fate counters on with Triad of Fates will be protected from Oblivion Stone wrath, and things you put fate counters on with Oblivion Stone can be messed with by Triad of Fates' last two activated abilities.
