The Great Aurora & Mirrorpool Interaction

Asked by CrunchyPelvis 7 years ago

How much would I be able to do between resolution of the second The Great Aurora cast as a copy of the first one using the third ability of the Mirrorpool? After the first The Great Aurora resolves and I place all the lands from my hand on to the battlefield, can I then tap those lands and float the mana before the second The Great Aurora resolves, forcing me to again shuffle those lands and my hand back into the deck? Can i perhaps use that mana to cast some more spells before allowing the second The Great Aurora to resolve? How much can my opponent do during that time? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Before any object on the stack can resolve, both players must pass priority without doing anything. Both you and your opponent will be able cast cards with flash and instants, activate abilities and float/use mana from the lands from the copied Aurora before the other one can resolve.

@Boza: I thought as much, just needed a confirmation so I can resolve a dispute. Thanks.

The stack doesn't resolve simultaneously, it resolves one at a time from the top down. Between each object on the stack, players are given the opportunity to cast spells and/or activate abilities.
