Sydri, Galvanic Genius + Energy Chamber?

Ok, so, at the beginning of my upkeep, Energy Chamber allows me to put a charge counter on a noncreature artifact, or a +1/+1 counter on an artifact creature. Let's say I don't have an artifact creature on the field, but I have Sydri, Galvanic Genius, who has the ability to turn a noncreature artifact into an artifact creature on the field for the remainder of the turn.

Can Energy Chamber target a noncreature artifact, and then in response, put Sydri, Galvanic Genius first effect on the stack, to turn the targeted noncreature artifact, into an artifact creature, to then give it a +1/+1 counter instead of a charge counter?

Energy Chamber's triggered ability is a modal ability, when it triggers you have to choose a mode and target. If you control no artifact creatures, the first mode cannot be chosen as there is no legal target, so you will have to choose the second mode. If after choosing the second mode, the noncreature artifact becomes an artifact creature, when the ability tries to resolve the game rules will counter it as the target is no longer legal.
