sunglasses of urza in EDH

I know the rule that mana produced by cards that are not in the colour of your generals counts as colourless but what about with Sunglasses of Urza if your general is not red/white

The EDH mana rules just prevent you from adding to your mana pool any color of mana that isn't in your commander's color identity. Sunglasses of Urza doesn't produce any mana, nor does it change the color of any mana in your mana pool. It just allows you to spend white mana as though it were red mana. The format rules don't affect it (although you do need to be able to have white mana in your mana pool in order to take advantage of the ability).
