Summoner's Egg

Asked by ShivanForce 4 years ago

If I cast Summoner's Egg and imprint Eater of Days facedown. Let's then say my opponent casts a spell and gains control of Summoner's Egg. Is my opponent allowed to look at the imprinted face down card?

If I cast Oxidize to destroy the Summoner's Egg, will my opponent lose 2 turns?

Thanks

The controller of Summoner's Egg can not look at the exiled card. So, your opponent will not be able to look at it. This is confirmed by the first gatherer ruling.

"The card is imprinted face down. This means that other players don’t know what the card is and you can’t look at the card once it’s imprinted (until it’s turned face up, of course). Note that effects that exile cards, including all previous imprint cards, exile those cards face up unless the effect says otherwise."

the "skip two turns" ability is an ETB and Eater of Days is entering the battlefield under your opponent's control. They will skip their next two turns after it enters.
