Spellskite vs Disenchant targeting an enchantment.

Asked by Ryotenchi 8 years ago

If I have a skite in play, and my opponent is targeting an enchantment with a spell that can also target an artifact, can I even change the target of Sundering Growth/Disenchant to Spellskite without fizzle-spinning my wheels and nuking myself for 2?

Yes, Spellskite is still a legal target for Disenchant and thus will successfully redirect the spell to itself. Initially targeting an enchantment doesn't lock it in some way.

K, I asked the question cause I thought it was possible.. however I was concerned that it, as you just stated, 'locked it in some way'.

Sweet. I can get away with running it mainboard to invalidate Abrupt Decay and Disenchant in my wish build. :3 Hell yes! Along with dealing with the boggles player.. and playing a more bad control-ish route than a prison route..
