Remember to link all of the cards.

Spellskite

That is something they can definitely do. Note that Spellskite just says that you can change a target of a spell or ability, not that you can change only one. So if a spell has multiple targets, you can redirect all of the targets to the skite, provided you can activate the ability enough times.

Some rulings from gatherer:

6/1/2011 If the spell or ability has multiple instances of the word target, you choose which target youre changing to Spellskite when Spellskites ability resolves.
6/1/2011 By activating Spellskites ability multiple times, you can change each target of a spell or ability with multiple instances of the word target to Spellskite, one at a time.

Remember to tag your cards using square brackets to help others understand the question better.

From Gatherer on Spellskite:

6/1/2011: If a spell or ability has multiple targets but doesnt use the word target multiple times, such as Fulgent Distraction, you can only successfully change one of the targets to Spellskite.
6/1/2011: If a spell or ability has a variable number of targets, you cant change the number of targets.

If Spellskite is the target of a spell like Fireball, you cannot change any of the targets. If it is not one of the targets of Fireball, you can change exactly one of the targets of the spell to Spellskite.

Does it matter that Fireball says "any number" of targets instead of a specific number? In other words, is the number of targets locked once the spell is cast?

It's also worth noting in either case that Fireball requires you to divide the damage equally, so a 10/1 damage split is impossible.

And I just read the rest of the gatherer rulings. I just woke up and am missing things, I shouldn't answer rules questions this early in the morning haha

acbooster, your answer would be correct, if Fireball had multiple instances of the word target like Seeds of Strength, but it does not. The number of targets of Fireball is set to 2 upon casting and cannot change with redirection effects.
