scion of the Ur dragon and graveyard effects

combat step happens and before damage my opponent decides that he is going to Go for the Throat Scion of the Ur-Dragon . as a counter, using the 2 mana i have open, search and copy Keiga, the Tide Star . if i let Scion of the Ur-Dragon go to the graveyard, will he get the effect keiga has or will he hit the graveyard as scion?

Note that the trigger is put on the stack after the creature has been put into the graveyard, even though it triggers half way through it.

Remember that Scion of the Ur-Dragon is a copy of Keiga, the Tide Star as it hits the graveyard. The ability of Keiga, the Tide Star will trigger even though he becomes Scion of the Ur-Dragon as he enters the graveyard. This is because he is still Keiga, the Tide Star as he is put into the graveyard, and the ability triggers as he is changing zones, and before he becomes a new object.
