I'm pretty positive I already know the answer but can you use Strionic Resonator to duplicate Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hungers on cast ability?

Well, is Ulamog's cast ability a triggered ability? As Strionic Resonator point's out, triggered abilities use words "when," "whenever," or "at." As Ulamog's ability says "When you cast [..]" we can safely say it's a triggered ability.

Who control's Ulamog's ability? As controlled the spell when the ability triggered, you control the ability. This satisfies the "you control" clause of Strionic Resonator.

One last question that's less obvious: Is Ulamog's ability a mana ability? The trigger condition is casting a spell rather than another mana ability, and the ability cannot add mana to a player's mana pool on resolution, so it most certainly is not a mana ability.

Strionic Resonator requires the answers to be yes, you, and no, which are the exact answers we got, so yes, you can copy the ability with Strionic Resonator.
