Rattleclaw Mystic and morphing on your turn
Asked by CharlesMandore 9 years ago
Alright, so I was wondering something, and it goes a little something like this: I put out a Rattleclaw Mystic the turn before last and put it under the little 2/2 creature thing. It's now my turn again, so the critter can attack. If I pay the morph cost, to obtain the GUR that you get through morphing, do I then get to tap to add another of the mana once it has transformed? Have I made that clear enough?

Outstanding, thank you kindly. I thought that's what made it so special.

Whether or not a creature has "summoning sickness" depends on how long you've controlled it. Turning something face-up doesn't make it a new object or change its tapped/untapped status, so if Rattleclaw Mystic is untapped you can use its mana ability. This is one of the intended angles of play for the card.
