rally the ancestors and enduring renewal

Asked by roweboats 6 years ago

If I cast Rally the Ancestors and I have Enduring Renewal on the battlefield, if I sacrifice one of the creatures returned, will it still need to be exiled during my next upkeep?

No.

Rally the Ancestors sets up a delayed trigger that will exile the returned creatures as they exist on the battlefield.

Even without Enduring Renewal, if those creatures leave the battlefield in any way, Rally the Ancestors's delayed trigger will not be able to find them.

  • If you sacrifice the returned creatures, they will not be exiled from your graveyard.
  • If you return the creatures to your hand, they will not be exiled.
  • If the returned creatures leave the battlefield and come back (e.g. Brago, King Eternal), they will not be exiled.
