Question regarding when power is checked for creatures on Raid Bombardment Triggers

Asked by masterosok 9 years ago

Scenario: Goblin Rabblemaster is on the board with Raid Bombardment.

If you stack the triggers so that Raid Bombardment triggers first and resolves last at the time that it triggers he would only have 2 power correct?

Would this also be possible if you had Shared Animosity out?

I probably didn't word that right. I guess I should ask if Raid Bombardment triggers at all since it only triggers IF the creature has 2 power or less.

It doesn't matter which order you stack the triggers. Raid Bombardment Checks the creatures power when it triggers, and it triggers at the same time as Goblin Rabblemaster and Shared Animosity. Since it triggers before any of those spells resolve, then it will still deal damage

So that you don't get confused in the future, you should also be aware of another flavor of templating referred to as an "intervening if" clause.

If instead of it's current text, raid bombardment read:

Whenever a creature attacks, if it had power 2 or less, Raid Bombardment deals 1 damage to defending player.

Then It would check both when it triggered and on resolution.
