Question about land destruction by Ghost Quarter

If my opponent sacrifices Ghost Quarter to destroy my Evolving Wilds , and I tap Evolving Wilds, I will only get to search for 1 basic land?

If you activate Evolving Wilds ' ability in response to the Ghost Quarter activation, the Wilds' ability will resolve first (so you search for a land). The Ghost Quarter 's ability will then fizzle as it has no legal target. It will not resolve at all, so you do not search for a land from the Ghost Quarter .

I would let them target and destroy your Evolving Wilds so the land you search out comes into play untapped.

Yes, you only get one land.
Think of the stack,
-Ghost Quarter ability comes on
-you Remove Evolving Wilds
-Ghost Quarter has no valid target, and is sacrificed with no effect taking place
