Pull from Eternity and cascade

Asked by Fighterkit3 7 years ago

If I play a cascade card, for example Shardless Agent and see a card exiled I want, for example Jace, the Mind Sculptor, am I able to play Pull from Eternity to put that card into my graveyard?

No, this won't work.

Once the Cascade trigger starts resolving, the next time a player gets priority is after it's completely finished resolving. At that point the cards will already be on the bottom of the library, not in exile.

Short answer is no.

Long answer is that the other cards exiled with cascade will be valid targets for the pull from eternity when you are casting it. However as the last part of the resolution of cascade, after the spell you cascaded into is cast, the other exiled cards are put onto the bottom of your library and will no longer be in exile for Pull from Eternity to affect them.

If you cascade into Pull from Eternity, you can target one of those exiled cards. They aren't in exile though anymore once Pull from Eternity starts resolving and it's countered by game rules, because it's all targets are illegal.
