Puca's Mischief and Dominating Licid

Asked by mrluthor 7 years ago

So I'm looking at the interactions between stealing an opponents creature with Dominating Licid and then next turn donating it with Puca's Mischief. Now to my understanding I still control the enchantment attached to it. So do I still get control of the creature or can I just detach the Licid? In that case does the creature go back to it's original owner?

Oh and is it possible to steal a creature with Licid and sacrifice it without killing the Licid?

You will still control the Licid, but timestamp order means your opponent will control the creature. Since both it and Puca's Mischief are saying who controls what, the most recent effect takes precedence. You can detach the Licid at any time (it's a special action and can be used whenever you have priority). If you detach the Licid after the Mischief's ability has resolved, the opponent you gave the creature to will still control it.

For the second question, it is not possible as the Licid will be put in the graveyard as a state-based action for being an Aura enchanted on nothing before anyone gets priority.
