Protean Hydra + Hardened Scales

Hi, so let's say I have Hardened Scales and Protean Hydra with five +1/+1 counters on it on the battlefield. Then I use Bioshift and move four +1/+1 counter from hydra to another creature (what creature is not relevant). Then at the end step, will the hydra get eight +1/+1 counters on it plus one additional +1/+1 counter from Hardened scales or does her second ability trigger separately for each counter that was removed (that would mean it would get another four +1/+1 counters from Hardened Scales)? The ruling for this card on Gatherer states that "If multiple +1/+1 counters are removed from Protean Hydra at once, its last ability will trigger that many times", so I'm just making sure I'm getting this right.

As indicated by the Gatherer ruling you found, Protean Hydra's ability will trigger 4 times in your example. Hardened Scales adds one more counter to each separate counter-adding event, so the Hydra will get 3 counters from each trigger instead of 2 (for a total of 12).
