Permeating Mass is complicated

I'f I flicker a creature that became Permeating Mass (because he was dealt combat damage by Permeating Mass), let's say with Eldrazi Displacer, will he return to his normal form? or is he gonna stay a Permeating Mass copy? Thanks!

When a card changes zones it becomes a new object with no memory of what it was previously. The Flickered creature will return as what's written on the card, nothing more, nothing less (other than being tapped of course).
