Pauper Card Legality - Online & Paper

Asked by SinestroCorps 6 years ago

If a card was "printed" at common rarity on Magic Online, but was never physically printed at common rarity, can you still use that card in paper pauper? Example: Battle Screech

There's no official legality for paper pauper, but generally the online list is used. Consult your tournament organizer to verify how they're defining card legality.

As a person who runs paper pauper tournaments monthly, I can tel you it is a mess to establish a ban list for paper pauper. We did it through trial and error - use the online banlist and add Goblin Grenade, High Tide to it.

Battle Screech is too awesome not to include in the format.
