Oblivion Stone 2nd ability is activated opponent activates Nevinyrral's Disk . What happens? planeswalkers in play

Oblivion Stone is activated, sacrificing it as part of the cost. In response, the Disk is activated and goes on the stack on top of the Stone's ability.

The disk resolves first, destroying all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments. (including the Disk itself). Then the Stone resolves, destroying all non-land permanents (including those planeswalkers in play).

Note that an ability, whether triggered or activated, exists independently of its source. If the source leaves play or something happens to it, the ability will still resolve as normal.

Minor correction to what Raging_Squiggle said: Oblivion Stone destroys all non-land permanents without a fate counter on them including Planeswalkers in play without a fate counter on them.

The important takeaway is that in MTG abilities exist independently of their sources. One an ability is triggered or activated it resolves unless countered or removed from the stack.
