Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker's second ability vs a commander

Just a quick questions. If I play Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker's second ability and target an opposing commander what will happen? Will that commander go to the command zone and I will be left with nothing? Or will I have control over said commander?

There's no reason for the commander to go to the command zone in this situation. The commander's owner can choose to send it to the command zone if it would go to the graveyard, hand, library, or exile. In this situation it's not even changing zones (the battlefield is a shared zone).
