New To Forums and Have a question about cards.

Let me start by saying sorry for the long title, but I didn't know where to post questions about cards.

Anyways I was wondering how Simulacrum worked with Infected.

Here's the Oracle Text: You gain life equal to the damage dealt to you this turn. Simulacrum deals damage to target creature you control equal to the damage dealt to you this turn.

Like does it "Remove" the counters. I'm guessing it doesn't but there's a lot of blue green infect where I play Modern and this could be ueful

The card on question is not modern legal. Question about cards interaction in game go in the rules q&a. And the answer is no.

What Simulacrum will do is look at the total amount of damage dealt to you this turn so far (say it was 2 damage by bears, and 2 damage by a creature with Infect), then gain you that much life (in this case 4, putting you to 2 above what you started the turn with), then deal that much damage to target creature.

Though the damage you took from the source with Infect didn't reduce your life total, you were still dealt damage. Simulacrum will make you gain that much life and will deal that amount of damage to the creature you target. The damage dealt by Simulacrum will just be regular damage (i.e. not Infect damage) and none of the poison counters will be removed from you.
