New Thalia and Kaalia interaction

So Thalia, Heretic Cathar says your opponent's stuff enters tapped. Suppose I have a Thalia, Heretic Cathar on my end, and my opponent swings in with Kaalia of the Vast. Is their creature still attacking, or does Thalia tap it down?

Note that Kaalia of the Vast's ability already brings the creature into play tapped and attacking. Thalia will have no effect in this scenario at all. The creature will still be brought in attacking.

I agree with Raging_Squiggle. The creature will still be attacking.

@Raging_Squiggle and Clockwurk: Kaalia putting the creature onto the battlefield tapped herself isn't relevant to this scenario whatsoever. The reason why the creature put on the battlefield is that you don't have to pay the cost of to attack in the first place, but instead Kaalia's ability makes the creature attacking - so even if the creature would be put on the battlefield [untapped and] attacking, Thalia's ability would have that creature enter the battlefield tapped, but it would still be attacking.

Furthermore, when Kaalia's ability triggers, you already passed the declare attackers segment of that step, so you wouldn't even be able to attack with any more creatures by tapping them - the only way creatures may be added to the pool of attacking creatures is by abilities rendering them attacking.

You're overthinking and over complicating it.

The simple fact remains that Thalia, Heretic Cathar's replacement effect will not stop the creature from attacking when brought in via Kaalia's ability.

Yes, but not because Kaalia already taps the creature... I'm just clarifying, because I find the emphasis on your post highly misleading.
