Nether Shadow how does it work?

i've seen multiple copies of Nether Shadow and i have noticed 2 different oracle texts, so how does it actually work?

nayaftw yes but i've also seen an oracle text saying "pay it's cost"

The most recent Oracle text is always the de-facto text of the card. Per the current Oracle text, you don't have to pay any mana to get Nether Shadow back onto the battlefield.

There's no such thing as different Oracle texts for a card's printings. The current Oracle text applies to all copies of a card, regardless of printing. You might be referring to printed text; remember that Oracle text always trumps printed text.

At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are at least 3 creatures on top of neather shodow in the grave, you get to put it in play.
