Najeela, the Blade-Blossom infinite combos

Asked by pedroedmarcos 5 years ago

Hey there,

Hypothetical scene:

So, If I controll 5 Warriors + Najeela, the Blade-Blossom on the battlefield + enough lands to activate her ability + Cryptolith Rite (Or maybe other infinite combats combo pieces). I declare atackers with my 5 warriors.

1 - Can I use Najeela abilty to get infinite combats all in the same combat phase(Or there's a restriction that just allow me to use her ability once for combat phase maybe)? They kind of stack combat phases like spells that grants you multiple turns?

Example: If I attack with 5 warriors, triggering najeela will enter 5 warriors attacking, I pay the cost untaping my 10 warriors, taping all 10 to create 10 mana, paying najeela's ability again 2 times with that mana, untaping my warriors cause they're still attacking, Tap again for more 10...etc

2 - Can I use Najeela's ability after damage and before the Main phase 2, like Reconnaissance?

  1. Yes, you can do this. The creatures are still attacking, so will be untapped by her ability. It does not matter that the most recent time they were tapped is to pay for mana, not to enter combat. The additional combat steps work like extra turns--you'll be able to queue an infinite number of them.

  2. Yep. You can use the ability at any time you have priority. Creatures no longer are "attacking" until the End of Combat Step ends--you'll get priority both during the Combat Damage Step(s) after damage has been dealt, or during the End of Combat Step, and could activate her ability during either.

Even though you'll have infinite combats, you are going to be tapping your creatures to attack for the second combat, so the usefulness of this combo may be limited.
