Asked by koylucumert 8 years ago

so i have a Shambling Ghoul and two Risen Executioner and my opponent casts a Languish so my executioner is 5/4 and my ghoul is 4/5. my executioners will die and my ghoul will have 1 life left but then because me executioners died, my ghoul will lose its +2/+2. will it die?

After Languish resolves, you will have a 0/1 and two 0/-1 creatures. Before any player gets priority, the game will see two creatures with toughness of 0 or less and they will die. Their static abilities will cease to function and the Ghoul will become a -2/-1 and then also die.

It will die, because Languish effect is "until end of turn"
So at the moment both Risen Executioner will die because they became 1/0, Shambling Ghoul will be 2/3 with -4/-4 effect on it. It dies.
