Liliana, Defiant Necromancer and Discarding

Asked by Akromathia 4 years ago

Hello, good day and happy new year everyone:

While I was surfing “Tapped Out” looking for Liliana, Defiant Necromancer pricing, I came across the combo section. I saw that many of the combo suggestions have to do with discarding cards yourself (The likes of Burning Inquiry , Heir of Falkenrath  Flip and Tormenting Voice ).

My question is, how does the combo work? Is it just making reference to the fact that you can bring them back with the “-X”, or is there something I am not seeing?

The combo section should include a quick explanation on how it works. Sorry if this question is considered dumb.

Thank you in advance.

I don't personally know how the "combos" section of the individual card pages works (i.e., whether it's all submission based vs. partially automated, etc.), but the cards you're asking about don't appear to do anything particularly special in combination with Liliana, Defiant Necromancer .

I suppose the only interaction I can see is self-discarding a valuable non-legendary creature to then recur with Liliana.

I'm pretty sure that the "combos" section is auto generated from people using the "combo syntax". I'm not really sure that there is anyone who polices or reviews combos, though there was some discussion a few years ago of some sort of a review process. I tuned it out when the first criteria for reviewing was "be upgraded" and don't know what happened from there.

Akromathia: Responses to this question have been up for a while. I chose one to mark as the "Accepted answer" so that this topic can move out of the list of unanswered questions. Please remember to take care of this yourself in the future.

Because of the unusual nature of this question and the responses, I basically rolled a die to determine which one to mark as Accepted. If you feel like a different response was a better answer to your question, feel free to re-select.

I am sorry I usually do that, but I was admitted at the hospital so I could not manage this properly.

Thank you, will not happen again.

Don't worry about it, those are the same three sentences I type every time since it's usually new users who forget to do it. I didn't mean for it to sound like you'd done something wrong.
