Lich's Mirror

Asked by Giblien 6 years ago

If Someone plays a combo that empties my library and Lich's Mirror is on the battlefield in my posession, do I lose the game or does it kick in? I'm trying to find a white card/artifact that would protect me against a loss from running out of cards in my library. Thanks!

Yes lich's mirror saves you from losing when you draw from an empty library.

Interestingly Lich's Mirror will not save you from someone winning through Laboratory Maniac or similar effects. In the case of those effects it is an I win not a you lose.

Any time the effect is "you lose" lich's mirror stops it.

Lich's Mirror will indeed prevent you from losing the game.

If you play against people that mill your library a lot I'd recommend putting a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in your deck. Because each time they enter the graveyard from anywhere their triggered ability will trigger and let you shuffle your graveyard into your library.
