Is Reveillark much better than I thought?

Asked by PrimeEpoch 9 years ago

I play pod (obviously), and I've recently added Restoration Angel. Am I right in saying I get creatures back by flickering Reveillark? If this works, I'd also get the trigger from Path to Exile?

Both Restoration Angel and Path to Exile will cause Reveillark's 'leaves the battlefield' ability to trigger.

Leaving the battlefield is leaving the battlefield. Reveillark is going from the battlefield to exile in both examples, and that counts. You get the trigger.

Thanks guys, thought so. I just wanted to check since I didn't really read the card properly at first, then came back to pod after a while.

Also thanks to epoc for selecting the answer haha

It would also work with Whip of Erebos, when it returns, attack (or block, whatever). Whether it dies in combat or exiles due to whip resolving, bring back your guys

Yep does work tbf, I don't think I'll be playing whip though. Can't tutor for it. It is kinda cool that you get 2 triggers off reveillark for that though (one for dying, one for exiling)

@nayaftw As another consideration for your train of thought, on your following upkeep, you can bounce/flicker Karmic Guide to escape paying its echo cost, or loop with Reveillark. Just food for thought :D
