Is Mutavault a token in addition to its other creature types when animated?

If the battalion trigger goes off on my Legion Loyalist can Mutavault block my creatures ( when animated).

Nothing ever changes from a token to a nontoken or from a nontoken to a token.

Tokens are objects used to represent permanents that aren't represented by cards. Mutavault merely becomes a creature.
