Invader Parasite with bouncing effects

Asked by Not_Sure 8 years ago

If I bounce Invader Parasite with Flickerwisp for instance, when Invader Parasite re-enters the battlefield it would obviously imprint another target land. My question is, if a player plays a land of the type Invader Parasite imprinted previously (say, I chose Mountain first, and Island second) would the opponent's play of both mountains and islands trigger Invader Parasite's second ability. Meaning would the Invader Parasite deal damage for both the mountain and the island's play, or would it only trigger for the most recent land imprinted by the Invader Parasite?

When an object changes zones it becomes a completely new game object with no connection to what it was before, minus a short list of exceptions that don't apply here (the exceptions are in place to make certain things work properly). The "new" Invader Parasite in your example will only trigger for Islands, not Mountains.
