Interaction between Bludgeon Brawl and auto equips

So with the card Bludgeon Brawl it turns all you non equipment artifacts into equipments. My question is that if I had Hammer of Nazahn or Siguarda's Aid out would let’s say a Fire Diamond enter the battlefield and then equip to a creature.
My assumption is that it doesn’t since it isn’t an equipment type artifact.
The effect of Bludgeon Brawl applies from the very moment any artifact enters the battlefield, meaning non-creature non-equipment artifacts enter the battlefield as equipment. As long as the trigger cares about equipment entering the battlefield (as opposed to being cast), Bludgeon Brawl will enable things like Fire Diamond to trigger them.
So in the case of Hammer of Nazahn and the second ability on Sigarda's Aid , you would be able to attach Fire Diamond to one of your creatures.
The first ability of Sigarda's Aid does not apply, though, since Fire Diamond is not an equipment when you cast it.
