Infinite combo help
Asked by rkreutz 7 years ago
I am far from an expert in the rules. More of a fun player. But I think I found an infinite combo with mostly Kaldesh and I wanted from Rule Lawyers to verify! The combo is thus: Animation Module + Decoction Module + Fabrication Module + Ashnod's Altar. I think it goes
Play a creature
Decoction Module +1E
Fabrication Module gain a +1/+1
Animation Module pay 1 for a 1/1 Thopter
That triggers Decoction Module again.
I'm just not sure where Ashnod's Altar can go in to pay for the Animation Module without breaking the chain of events.
I think I pulled it off in my first ever testing of a deck, by turn 9 (EDH). But is it valid? When do I sac a creature to keep the chain going?

This combo works as you hope it would. (Infinite creatures and infinite colorless mana).
Play a creature. Triggers Decoction Module = +1E. Triggers Fabrication Module = place a +1/+1. Triggers Animation Module. With Animation Module's trigger on the stack, you can use Ashnod's Altar to sac your first creature for 2 mana. Use one to pay for the 1/1 Servo which triggers Decoction Module again. Since the altar gives you 2 mana, you only need to sac 1 servo every 2 loops. Infinite combo achieved.

A four card combo is very hard to get off in a normal game, better to try some two card combos much easier to execute.
