Infinite Combat??

Asked by Colten_Lee 9 years ago

If I have an infinite mana engine such as Grand Architect + Pili-Pala , and haste via Mass Hysteria out would thus be possible?? Say I have Aurelia, the Warleader and various other creatures out. I attack with all and Aurelia is returned to my hand via Dust Elemental along with Dust and random 3rd creature after attacking, if I have Prophet of Kruphix out can I flash out Aurelia (and said random creature) before attacking again, and will she count as being a "new" object triggering her ability again??

Guess I should mention that Dust Elemental was flashed out after attacking.

Your combo works. Aurelia will have no memory of its previous existence, thus the extra combat ability will trigger again and again.

If I follow correctly you want to have Aurelia, the Warleader out attack, bounce and replay her and get infinite combats. Everything else was just a way to facilitate this.

Yes you could do that since she is a new object that hasn't yet attacked after she is replayed. Thus her "attacks for the first tie each turn" trigger will happen.

seems to be a little bit more work than just Hellkite Charger and Bear Umbra

XD Its a little bit more work. Me and my friends play peace treaty matches, idk if its a legit game type or not, but nobody can be offensive for a set number of turns. We usually play ten or fifteen. Its really interesting when everyone has all their combos out before anything goes down. But yeah that's what this combo would be used in, don't want them to see it coming.

Is it sited in the rules anywhere about Aurelia leaving then reentering to attack?

Not explicitly but it is implied by:

400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence

603.2. Whenever a game event or game state matches a triggered abilitys trigger event, that ability automatically triggers.
