Indestructible creature blocked by many lifelinked creatures

I have four 4/4 Angel Tokens and a True Conviction on the field and my opponent attacks with Herald of War protected by Avacyn, Angel of Hope with indestrubtibility.Can I block the Herald with all of my tokend to gain 32 life or does only one of them deal damage to the Herald?Also does Herald of War deal damage multiple times in this case? (he has one counter on him already so my tokens would die)

You gain 32 life if you block with all the Angels. After the declare blockers step, the first strike damage step occurs, and your four angels deal 16 damage and you gain 16 life. The Herald is now a 4/4 indestructible creature with 16 damage marked on it. Then the normal combat damage step occurs. You gain 16 life and one of your angels will die as the Herald only has 4 damage to assign. Herald will have 32 damage marked on it.
