What are the rules concerning mulliganing in EDH

This forum is reserved for game rules questions. This question should have been asked in the EDH subforum.

Multiplayer EDH usually uses the Partial Paris mulligan, meaning that your first mulligan will be to seven cards instead of six, and subsequent mulligans will be to one card less than before.

Duel EDH uses just a Paris mulligan system, meaning your first mulligan will be to six cards, then five cards, etc.

thispersonisagenius: This is a game rules question. Mulligans are part of the game. Also, you didn't explain Partial Paris mulligans correctly.

EDH uses the "Partial Paris" mulligan system. How it works is: You look at your hand, pick any number of cards, and exile them face down. You then draw that many minus one cards from your deck. Repeat this as much as you want, then shuffle everything you exiled into your library.

(Should've mentioned this in the first comment, but I forgot.)

Depending on the playgroup, as it is a social format, you might also get your first mulligan as a "free" mulligan; that is, the first time you mulligan, you draw back up to seven, rather than six. In a tournament, this is definitely not the case, but in a non-tournament setting, ask the group if the first mulligan is free.

My mistake. I have played the Partial Paris mulligan system as simply Paris mulligans with the first mulligan being to seven, so I guess that's incorrect.

I figured rules questions meant things like, "If Humility and Opalescence are both on the battlefield...", where this was more of a general gameplay question.

Any question about game rules or tournament rules is perfectly fine for the MTG Q&A subforum.
