If I use Zedruu the Greathearted to give an opponent control of a Mind Control aura that is attached to a creature my opponent controls, do I still control that creature?

Asked by Tenebromancer 5 years ago

If the aura applies its effect constantly then my opponent would get control of it, but if the aura only applies the effect when it resolves and is attached to the creature then I would retain control over it as "you" in the text of mind control refers to the controller of mind control.

Assuming there are no other control-changing effects, controller of Mind Control controls creature. It is static effect and it doesn't matter when Mind Control entered the battlefield or whether it entered at all.

No, you won't control the creature anymore. Because the control-changing effect on Mind Control is generated by a static ability, it's applied continuously. If Mind Control changes controllers then so will the enchanted creature.
