How would Mana Reflections affect Prophetic Prism?

I know that Mana Reflection doubles the amount of mana produced by tapping a permanent, so does it work with Prophetic Prism, since you have to pay man before tapping it?

To be clear: Mana Reflection does interact with Prophetic Prism. Activating the Prism's ability counts as "tapping a permanent for mana" because it's a mana ability with "" in the cost. It will make 2 mana of the color of your choice.

Mana Reflection has no special interaction with Prophetic Prism. When you use the ability of the Prism while Reflection is out, the Prism will product two mana of the color you choose.
There are special rules surrounding "when/if you tap [something] for mana" abilities, though. To "tap [something] for mana" requires two things. First, you have to be activating a mana ability (see below). Second, the cost for that ability must include the tap symbol (). Prophetic Prism fits these restrictions, but something like Heritage Druid does not.
For clarity, an activated mana ability requires a few things. First, it has to be able to potentially create mana. Second, it can't target, and lastly, it can't be a Loyalty ability (there are lots of example if that would help).
