How would exerting 2 Ahn-Crop Champion

How would 2 Ahn-Crop Champion exerts work? Would they untap each other? (Sorry i forgot how to add the card)
You add the card with double brackets:
[[Ahn-Crop Champion]]
becomes
And yes, if you exert them both, they untap eachother.

However they are both still exerted and if they are tapped down after the triggers have resolved by an Elder Deep-Fiend or Nebelgast Herald the exert ability will still stop them from uptapping.
