How Kheru Spellsnatchers' last ability works.

Asked by _Grintex 9 years ago

Can you cast a spell countered with Kheru Spellsnatcher if it has left the field? Since it says that it says " As long as it is exiled".

Yes. Because the ability that exiles the card is the one that creates the effect allowing you to cast the card, Kheru Spellsnatcher no longer needs to be on the battlefield in order for you to cast the exiled card.

If, however, a separate, static ability defined your ability to cast the exiled card, then the ability would only apply for as long as you controlled Kheru Spellsnatcher.

Yes, I believe you already know the reason why. Now if an opponent was to put that exile card somehow back to anywhere but exile then you would not be able to play it. Hopefully I helped!
