How does the Krenko-thornibite staff work

lets say i have 8 goblins and krenko with thornbite staff attached to him. i use the ability and attack with all 8 goblins. if my opponent blocks all 8, can i untap krenko and use his ability 8 times or just once
During combat, all creatures are dealt damage simultaneously and die if they lethal damage (marked damage greater than or equal to their non zero toughness) simultaneously as the result. The Thornbite Staff gives Krenko, Mob Boss a triggered ability that triggers when a creature dies, rather than when one or more creatures dies, so it will trigger 8 times, with all 8 triggers going on the stack at once. When the top most ability resolves, you will have a chance to activated Krenko's tap ability to produce goblins before the next trigger resolves. In effect, you'll be able to use Krenko's tap ability 8 times.

During combat, all creatures are dealt damage and die (if they end up with 0 or less toughness) at the same time, so the staff only triggers once. So no, you cant activate him for each goblin that dies, the most he would untap in that scenario is once.
