How does Living Death work with Zombie Mikaeus and Marchesa?

Asked by Zebgora 9 years ago

Had an interesting question come up during a game with a friend. I was playing my deck Decepticon Zombies against a blue/black control deck with Lazav as the general.

My opponent plays Living Death and my graveyard consists of Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker . My board was Marchesa, the Black Rose , Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , Consuming Aberration , Rotcrown Ghoul and Flayer of the Hatebound all with at least 1 +1/+1 counter on them, as well as Gray Merchant of Asphodel with no counters.

My question (and forgive me if i am over-simplifying this as it is very late here) is if the triggers are stacked properly, all of my creatures come back AND i get whatever creatures were in my graveyard, right?

Also, something I didn't think about at the time, but what if, as this mess is resolving, I target myself with Rotcrown Ghoul 's death trigger?

Okay, let's break this down:

So yeah, you have all your dudes. You won't get to mill and bring even more dudes back, though; firstly because Marchesa brings them back at the next end step, not immediately; and secondly, because abilities can't trigger or resolve in the middle of spells and abilities resolving. They wait until the next time a player receives priority.
